Cookies
At Fortissio we want our traders to get the best experience we can offer, which is why we use cookies. Cookies help to ensure www.fortissio.com functions properly and to improve your navigation experience.
What are cookies?
Cookies are a kind of short-term memory for the website. They are stored in your browser and enable Services to ‘remember’ little bits of information between pages you visit.
What types of cookies are there?
In terms of how long information is stored there are two types of cookies:
- Session cookies – session cookies retain information about the user only while their session lasts. Once you close the website (end your session) these cookies are deleted. This type of cookie is mostly used in e-commerce websites.
- Permanent cookies – these cookies remain after the user has left the website. This type of cookie saves your login information and passwords to make filling out details easier. By law this type of cookie must be deleted after 12 months.
The other main distinction in cookie types is between Internal and Third-party cookies:
Differences between Internal cookies and Third-party cookies
- Internal cookies are also known as First-party cookies. These cookies collect analytical data, save your language and other preferences. They are stored by the website you are visiting directly (in this case www.fortissio.com).
- Third-party cookies are used by marketers and advertisers to collect data like spending habits, user age and demographic, which they use to provide better tailored services and products to their clients. They are created by third-party domains, not the one you are visiting directly.
Cookies and personal information
Newly created cookies do not contain any personal information – they don’t scan your computer or try to find out your personal information. The only way cookies can get your personal information is after you insert it on a website’s form. Even then the cookies store your information in a code, and it is unreadable to any third party. The only one that can read and decode this information is the website that created the cookies.
What are they used for?
At Fortissio we use cookies to provide you with a better experience when using our Services. If you do not wish to receive cookies, you can change the settings of the browser or mobile device to refuse all cookies or to receive notification each time a cookie is sent, and thereby get the choice whether to accept it or not.
